Sleep tracker app for iPhone

Updated October 31, 2026

SleepBoo is a sleep tracker app that uses your iPhone’s microphone and sensors to estimate your sleep stages overnight. Each morning it gives you a score from 0 to 100 and a written report of what happened. You don’t need a wearable, though Apple Watch data can appear in your statistics.

Coming soon to the App Store

What the app shows each morning

  • Estimated sleep stages: awake, REM, light, and deep
  • A sleep score from 0 to 100, built from sufficiency, efficiency, recovery, and consistency
  • Time asleep, time in bed, time to fall asleep, and awakenings
  • A written report that explains the highlights based on what was measured

How to read your sleep stages

A night usually runs through four to six cycles of about 90 minutes each. Each cycle moves through three non-REM stages and then REM. Deep sleep tends to come earlier in the night, and REM periods get longer toward morning.

So one night with little deep sleep says less than a pattern over several weeks. That’s why SleepBoo lets you compare weeks and months instead of judging a single score.

How to get a useful reading

  • Leave your iPhone next to the bed, so the microphone can pick up the room
  • Start tracking when you lie down and tap “I woke up” in the morning
  • Log factors like caffeine and screens in the journal, then compare them with your trends

What a sleep tracker can’t do

Stages shown by a phone are estimates, not a clinical sleep study. SleepBoo is a wellness app: it doesn’t diagnose sleep disorders or replace medical advice.
